The $1.6 billion Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is a 41km heavy vehicle route.
Construction Sciences are responsible for the procurement, installation, monitoring and reporting of over 300 geotechnical instruments over the life of the project.
The monitoring schedule includes In Place Inclinometers (IPI), Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VWP), Hydrostatic Profile Gauges (HPG), Extensometers and Survey Monuments. Down hole instruments are monitored automatically, to provide real-time information and alerts, through a web based management system. The Geotechnical instrumentation services are well complemented by the three CMT laboratories we have established on the 43km project.
