Construction Sciences are proud to be a part of this year’s Variety 4WD Explorer, a fundraising event run by Variety – the Children’s Charity.

Variety believes every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their ability or background. Variety provides help when it’s needed most and when government funding isn’t available. In 2016 Variety impacted nearly 110,000 children through a range grants providing practical help to kids and organisations in need, like:

  • Mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs, walking and crawling aids and vehicle modifications
  • Medical equipment, such as specialised feeds, monitors, sensory and medical equipment
  • Inclusive equipment, such as liberty swings and sunshine coaches, and
  • Scholarships in the areas of music, arts and sport to allow children with an existing talent follow their dreams.

Our CFO John Dickson and the crew of Car 23 were the highest fundraisers, raising an incredible $72,000. Together the explorers raised $290,000 for Aussie kids in need. The money we raised was mostly from the hard work of our team, organising and participating on events. The great part of this, is the events are fun.
