development within the Gawler Craton. The Hillside Project is a flagship asset
of Rex Minerals, and one of Australia’s largest undeveloped copper projects,
holding an estimated mineral resource of 1.9 million tonnes of copper and 1.5
million ounces of gold.

The project includes the construction of an open pit mine, processing plant,
and associated infrastructure to mine and process ore for export. The project
also involves road realignment, stormwater works, and earthworks.

The overall project aims to unlock economic benefits for the region and
support Australia’s copper and gold supply chain.

Our Role:

Construction Sciences was awarded the Construction Materials Testing works for the Hillside Project.

The Whyalla Laboratory will oversee the testing, including soil and material sampling, to ensure quality control and project compliance for infrastructure such as the open pit mine and associated road and stormwater works.
