Construction Sciences now has offices and laboratories in every Australian state and territory thanks to the addition of our new laboratory in Hobart, Tasmania.
The new Construction Sciences Hobart lab is located in Bridgewater, north of Hobart, close to our existing major project we’re undertaking – New Bridgewater Bridge. The laboratory location is close to a few existing quarries, concrete pre-cast yards and has freeway access to Hobart, the airport and northern Tasmania.
CS’s Hobart team welcomed its major client McConnell Dowell into the new laboratory for a CMT presentation by Area Manager Adam Gleeson. Twelve McConnell Dowell engineers were provided with an overview of construction materials testing, theory, science, origins and application to major infrastructure. The presentation was followed by demonstrations of the practical testing being performed in the laboratory.
The Construction Sciences Hobart Laboratory is expected to be fully operational and NATA accredited in early January 2024.
