Congratulations to the victorious Construction Sciences Queensland Wheelchair Rugby League Maroons! Queensland has now won four consecutive Wheelchair State Challenges.
The 2024 Wheelchair State Challenge event was held on Saturday 13th July in Brisbane, and as expected it was an intense battle with a desperate NSW Blues throwing everything they had at Queensland to eventually lead the game at half time.
However, in the second half, the tide well and truly turned with the Maroons team drawing on inspiration from a former team player, and of course the Queenslander spirit loaded full of passion, grit and determination.
The team – coached by England international Jack Brown – claimed their fourth straight title over New South Wales on Saturday, carrying four debutants into the clash at Brendale’s South Pine Sports Centre, in the Moreton Bay region.
Final Score: QLD 42 v NSW 36
