Project Description:
The NorthConnex Tunnel was established as an answer to resolving one of Australia’s worst roads. The project will take up to 5,000 trucks off Pennant Hills Road each day by connecting the M1 Pacific Motorway to the M2 Hills Motorway. The 9km motorway will be the deepest road tunnel in Australia and will save motorists up to 15 minutes of travel time.
Our Role:
Construction Sciences has been involved with the project since its inception and has undertaken all the work under its contract for Construction Materials Testing from its Glendenning laboratory. Over a period of three years, the project has required a rotation of up 40 employees working around the clock, to service concrete to up to 21km worth of tunneling.
